Inception

Inception-movie-poster                    Inception is one of the best movies I have seen this year, and ranks among the best movies I have seen over the last few years.Nolan has crafted a movie that’s beyond brilliant and layered both narratively and thematically.  It requires the audience to take in a collection of rules, exceptions, locations, jobs, and abilities in order to understand the text, let alone the fascinating subtext.  Nolan’s magnum opus is the first major blockbuster in over a decade that’s demanded intense viewer concentration, raised thoughtful and complex ideas, and wrapped everything all in a breathlessly exciting action film.  Inception may be complicated, but simply put it’s one of the best movies of the year.

Troy

In Bronze Age Greece, King Agamemnon  of Mycenae is in Thessaly, Greece, looking to conquer this last territory not in his fledgling empire. His soldiers prepare to fight the Thessalonian king, Triopas . Triopas agrees to settle the matter through single combat between their best warriors. Achilles (Brad Pitt) easily kills the Thessalonian champion Boagrius (Nathan Jones). Accepting defeat, Triopas presents Achilles with a scepter as a token for his king. But Achilles refuses, saying Agamemnon is not his king.
In Sparta, Prince Hector (Eric Bana) and his young brother Paris  negotiate peace between Troy and Sparta. Paris has fallen in love with Helen , Menelaus' wife. He smuggles her back to Troy with him. Infuriated, Menelaus vows revenge. Meanwhile, Agamemnon (Menelaus' brother), who had for years harbored plans for conquering Troy (which would give him control of the Aegean Sea), uses this as a justification to invade Troy. General Nestor  asks him to take Achilles, to rally troops to the cause.
Odysseus  visits Phtia to persuade Achilles and his Myrmidons to fight, and finds him training with Patroclus , his cousin. Odysseus says the fleet will be sailing in three days, and that this war will never be forgotten. Achilles consults his mother, Thetis, and she tells him that should he stay, he will find peace, love, and a long life, but his name will be forgotten. Should he go, he will find everlasting glory, but is destined to die in battle. Achilles decides to go.

Fracture

Fracture                This filim does't have any action scenes or anything like that but yet its interesting from start till the end.Can be said as a mind battle between an intelligent criminal and his prosecutor.Anthony Hopkins plays the role of the intelligent  criminal Ted Crawfor who makes the Lawyer  Willy Beachum (Ryan Gosling) confused and angry.

Ted Crawford shoots his unfaithful wife, confesses to the police - orally and in writing - but then pleads not guilty and opts to defend himself in court. The young DA assigned to the case, Willy Beachum, has had a successful career with a 97% conviction rate. Beachum however is actually on his way to a lucrative position in a big private law firm, but his desire to win keeps him on the case. What ensues is a battle of wits between the two as Crawford systematically destroys his opponents case.

Fight Club

File:Fight Club poster.jpg          Fight Club is a film adapted from the 1996 novel of the same name by Chuck Palahniuk. The film was directed by David Fincher and stars Edward Norton, Brad Pitt, and Helena Bonham Carter. Norton plays the unnamed protagonist, an "everyman" who is discontented with his white-collar job in American society. He forms a "fight club" with soap salesman Tyler Durden, played by Pitt, and becomes embroiled in a relationship with him and a dissolute woman, Marla Singer, played by Carter.

The film goes with the narration of Norton. In this film the character of Norton is very tired of the normal life which is not a continuation but a repetition.Later these all drag his mind  into a confused state which also makes the viewers confused also........

A qoute from the film (which attracted me )
"We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off. "

300

300 is an action film adapted from a graphic fiction novel of the same name by Frank Miller, a fictionalized retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae. It was filmed mostly with a super-imposition chroma key technique, to help replicate the imagery of the original comic book.

This is an excellent action film. The story takes place in the midst of the Persian-Greco war, Spartan King Leonidas leads his army of 300 soldiers into battle against the invading Persian army during the during the Battle of Thermopylae. According to legend, their valor and sacrifice inspired all of Greece to unite against the Persian foe, leading to the origins of democracy.

The story has everything from courage patriotism love etc to the corruptions of democracy everything in a different way than the life today but still have relevance

The Pursuit of happiness

The Pursuit of Happyness is a 2006 American biographical drama film directed by Gabriele Muccino and based on the life of Chris Gardner, who invested heavily in a device known as a "Bone Density scanner". However, they do not sell as they are marginally better than the current technology at a much higher price which the hospitals considered only as a luxuary.

This filim is one of the best emotional filims I had seen in my entite life. This film made me a hardcore fan of Will Smith. For his performance, Smith received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor and a Golden Globe nomination.

The screenplay by Steven Conrad is based on the best-selling memoir written by Gardner with Quincy Troupe. His wife leaves him,  loses his house,  bank account, and credit cards and was forced to live out in the streets with his son So now he is  desperate to find a steady job; he takes on a job as a stockbroker, but before he can receive pay, he needs to go through 6 months of training, and to sell his devices.
